Vigil includes two installers (typically available from Savvius MyPeek). One installer is for the Vigil client software and the other is for Omnipeek Connect. Omnipeek Connect is not required to use Vigil. To install Vigil client or Omnipeek Connect software, double-click the Vigil MSI install file (vigil_x.x.x.x.msi) or the Omnipeek install file (setup.exe) and follow the installation instructions that appear on the screen.
Product activation is not required when you install Vigil client software; however, product activation is required when you install Omnipeek Connect software. When you install Omnipeek Connect, the installer, much like a Web browser, sends a secure message to a Web server located at Savvius, Inc. This process will assist us in reducing software piracy, as we can ensure that our software products are used solely by authorized customers. Automatic activation will fail if the computer uses a proxy server to access the Internet. Use manual activation instead. For more information, please visit https://www.savvius.com/activation.
